Final vote of price gouging bill

WASHINGTON, DC – Today the House passed Congresswoman Kim Schrier, M.D. (WA-08)’s bill, the Consumer Fuel Price Gouging Prevention Act that she recently introduced with Congresswoman Katie Porter (CA-45) to protect families’ wallets at the gas pump. Rep. Schrier’s remarks can be found here. Earlier this year, Congresswoman Schrier introduced a bill that would temporarily remove a gas tax through the end of the year.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today Congresswoman Kim Schrier, M.D. (WA-08) announced her Community Project Funding (CPF) priorities for this fiscal year. Community Project Funding provides the opportunity for Representatives to directly identify important local projects that can benefit from federal funding.  All 10 of Rep. Schrier’s priorities from last year were funded as part of the government funding bill that was signed into law in March.

COVINGTON, WA – Congresswoman Kim Schrier, M.D. (WA-08) recently met with Covington City Manager Regan Bolli, Councilmember Kristina Soltys, Councilmember Joseph Cimaomo, Councilmember Elizabeth Porter, Acting Police Chief Adam Easterbrook, and Covington Police Officers to discuss public safety, including the uptick in property crimes affecting Covington businesses and the officer staffing shortages felt across the county.

RENTON, WA – Today Congresswoman Kim Schrier, M.D. and Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra toured a school-based health clinic at Renton High School to bring awareness to the drop in routine childhood vaccinations. Rep. Schrier, a pediatrician, has been urging parents to make sure their children are up-to-date with these life-saving vaccines.
