ISSAQUAH, WA – This month, as part of government funding legislation, Congresswoman Kim Schrier, M.D. (WA-08) voted to increase investments in public safety. The funding from this bipartisan bill signed into law this month will support Washington first responders, local police departments, emergency response, and wildfire prevention.
WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Representatives Kim Schrier, M.D. (D-WA) and Mariannette Miller-Meeks, M.D. (R-IA), the only two women doctors in Congress, have introduced the Supporting Children’s Mental Health Care Access Act, a bill to reauthorize funding for children’s mental and behavioral health programs. This bill would help address the children’s mental health care crisis exacerbated by the pandemic.
ISSAQUAH, WA – Today Congresswoman Kim Schrier, M.D. (WA-08) announced that because of her efforts, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA) will be partnering on a new pop-up container yard to ease congestion at the Port of Seattle. WASHINGTON, DC – Today Congresswoman Kim Schrier, M.D. (WA-08) and several of her House colleagues introduced the Gas Prices Relief Act. The bill would help lower high gas costs for Washington families by temporarily suspending the 18.4 cent federal gas tax until January 1, 2023.
