Congresswoman Schrier’s Statement on Biden’s Executive Order at the Border

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Kim Schrier’s (WA-08) statement on President Biden’s Executive Order barring migrants from entering the country unlawfully:

“There is no question that we need comprehensive immigration reform,” said Congresswoman Schrier. “I have heard from voters across Washington’s Eighth District about how important this issue is to them. President Biden’s Executive Order is a start, but it does not address many other pressing immigration issues. Congress needs to act. I have been pushing for a comprehensive border package with both parties because I understand how serious this issue is, which is why I wrote to the President demanding he take action on the disorder and humanitarian crisis at the southern border."
