WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Kim Schrier, M.D. (WA-08) introduced H.R. 649, the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act, a bipartisan bill that aims to improve the quality and nutrition of school lunches by allowing public schools to serve reduced fat and whole milk. Congresswoman Schrier is introducing this bill together with Congressman Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-15), Chairman of the House Committee on Agriculture.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, the United States House of Representatives passed the bipartisan Thomas R. Carper Water Resources Development Act of 2024 (WRDA), biennial legislation that authorizes water resource activities of the Army Corps of Engineers. Thanks to the advocacy of Congresswoman Kim Schrier, M.D. (WA-08), the bill included authorization for the design and construction of a water reservoir in the city of Chelan for wildfire preparedness and water supply.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswomen Kim Schrier, M.D. (WA-08) and Suzan DelBene (WA-01) recently led 12 House Members in calling for the Biden administration to provide flexibility around the implementation of the Clean Hydrogen Production Tax Credit (45V Credit) so federal regulations don’t hinder the development of our nascent hydrogen economy. The proposed rules, while well-intentioned, are overly prescriptive and could result in the loss of half of Hydrogen Hub projects across the country.
