Congresswoman Kim Schrier, M.D., Elected as Chair of the Democratic Doctors Caucus
WASHINGTON, D.C. -Today, Congresswoman Kim Schrier, M.D. (WA-08), the first pediatrician elected to Congress, announced that she was elected as Chair of the Democratic Doctors Caucus.
“I am honored to be elected as the first chair of the Democratic Doctors Caucus,” said Congresswoman Schrier, M.D. “Right now, our nation’s healthcare system is at a pivotal moment, facing unprecedented attacks on affordable healthcare access and the rampant spread of medical misinformation. As chair of this caucus, I will continue to work with my fellow Democratic doctors and colleagues across Congress to lower costs, put patients and doctors back in the driver's seat, and ensure our healthcare system works for all Americans."
