WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Kim Schrier, M.D. (D-WA) introduced the Kids’ Access to Primary Care Act, a bipartisan piece of legislation that would increase access to primary care for children and families by strengthening Medicaid. Congresswoman Schrier is joined in introducing this bill by Representatives Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) and Kathy Castor (D-FL). Senators Patty Murray (D-WA) and Raphael Warnock (D-GA) are leading a companion bill in the Senate. 

WASHINGTON, D.C. –Congresswoman Kim Schrier, M.D. (WA-08) introduced the bipartisan Diagnostics Testing Preparedness Plan Act, which would facilitate the innovation and development of diagnostics between the private and public sectors during Public Health Emergencies. Congresswoman Schrier was joined in introducing this legislation by Representatives Miller-Meeks (IA-01), Carson (IN-07), and Crenshaw (TX-02).

This bipartisan bill aims to improve health care access for rural Washingtonians by increasing the number of physicians in their area.

This bipartisan bill will improve access to primary care by strengthening Medicaid’s ability to engage in direct primary care arrangements. 

WASHINGTON, DC – Yesterday, Representative Kim Schrier, M.D. (WA-08) introduced the bipartisan Agriculture Export Promotion Act. This legislation would support Washington farmers and producers by increasing investment in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Foreign Market Development Program (FMDP) and Market Access Program (MAP), both of which help promote and sustain agriculture exports.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Kim Schrier, M.D. (WA-08) introduced H.R. 649, the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act, a bipartisan bill that aims to improve the quality and nutrition of school lunches by allowing public schools to serve reduced fat and whole milk. Congresswoman Schrier is introducing this bill together with Congressman Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson (PA-15), Chairman of the House Committee on Agriculture.
