WASHINGTON, DC – Today the U.S. House passed a bill introduced last year by U.S. Representatives Kim Schrier, M.D. (D-WA), Blake Moore (R-UT), Joe Neguse (D-CO), and Russ Fulcher (R-ID) called the Modernizing Access to our Public Land (MAPLand) Act. This legislation will direct federal land management agencies to digitize and standardize mapping records.
“8th District Representative Kim Schrier reserved about $2.2 million for two Chelan County projects. Almost $1.3 million of that amount goes to expanding rural broadband Internet in the Entiat Valley; the remainder supports affordable worker housing in Leavenworth.”

WASHINGTON, DC – Today Congresswoman Kim Schrier, M.D. (WA-08) and several of her House colleagues introduced the Gas Prices Relief Act. The bill would help lower high gas costs for Washington families by temporarily suspending the 18.4 cent federal gas tax until January 1, 2023.
