Community Project Funding Requests

This year the House Appropriations Committee will implement a new Community Project Funding initiative to allow Members of Congress to directly address the most significant needs of the communities they represent. Members of Congress will be allowed to submit 10 qualified, local projects to the Appropriations Committee for consideration of targeted federal funds. Only state, local, and tribal governments; publicly owned entities (e.g. ports, universities, PUDs, etc.); and registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations are eligible to request Community Project Funding. To learn more about the eligibility requirements and/or to submit a Community Project Funding request, please click here.

If you have multiple requests, please submit a separate form for each request. All Community Project Funding requests must be submitted by April 7, 2021 but this deadline may be extended once the Appropriations Subcommittees announce their Member submission deadlines.

Programmatic Requests

Every year, Congress is responsible for allocating overall funding for offices, programs, and grants administered by the federal government. As your Representative, Rep. Schrier has the opportunity to advocate on behalf of programs that are important to Washington’s 8th Congressional District. For example, if your local fire department benefits from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)’s Assistance to Firefighters Grants, Rep. Schrier can advocate to maintain or increase the total funding for these grants.

If your organization receives these funds, please fill out this form with your requests for programmatic funding, bill, or report language. Please note that appropriations requests cannot guarantee funding for any specific entity or project, and are separate from individual grant requests. Requests must comply with all current House rules. Requests will only be accepted through this form.

If you have multiple requests, please submit a separate form for each request. All Programmatic Requests must be submitted by April 7, 2021 but this deadline may be extended once the Appropriations Subcommittees announce their Member submission deadlines.
