This project includes replacing a two-lane bridge that currently clogs traffic and results in a miles long backlog on US Highway 2. US2 is one of two cross state highways that serve Washington state residents and visitors year round. It is a part of the National Highway System between the urban growth centers of Everett and Spokane and is one of Washington State’s primary routes across the Cascade Mountains for commuter, freight, and recreational users.
Federal Nexus: The project has a Federal nexus because the funding provided is for purposes authorized by 23 USC 133(b).
