The Darrington Drinking Water Infrastructure Expansion Project would support additional infrastructure to bring a new well online and connected to the rest of the water distribution system. The funds will be used to design and construct an iron water main with 8 low/moderate income residential service hookups. This new water line will replace the failing current system and move the existing water lines from private land to town easements. The funds will also be used to design and construct a concrete well protection enclosure with electrical and communications infrastructure to securely house the well pump and all necessary parts to successfully operate the town water system.
