CPF Senior Hub Facility Improvements
City of Enumclaw
1350 Cole Street
Enumclaw, WA 98022
Amount Requested: $700,000.00
The funding would be used for revitalization of South East Rural Senior HUB/Enumclaw Senior Center. Senior programs have been provided out of this building since 1983, although the building dates back to 1927. The program has grown from simply a daily meal, to a robust variety of programs and services that serve a growing aging population. With these grant funds, the program can make needed physical structure and safety improvements to better meet the needs of clients including Earthquake Structural improvements, replacement of outdated window glass, and safe and ADA accessible entry/exits.
Enumclaw Senior Center/South East Rural Senior HUB is widely used in the Plateau area for older adults and their families. Pre-Covid, this was the only site in King and Pierce counties providing hot, home delivered meals to homebound elderly. Seniors are often isolated at home, and Senior Centers like this one support healthy aging and provide important social opportunities for seniors.
