The Chelan County Fire District Number Six Wildland Fire Protection Plan would improve wildland fire protection through the acquisition of wildland fire engines and associated equipment. The funding would be used for the purchase of two new wildland interface fire engines and associated firefighting equipment required to perform fire suppression operations and ensure firefighter safety. This will enable Chelan County Fire District Number 6 to respond to requests for assistance from their auto and mutual aid partners, including various federal and state resource management agencies such as the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Washington Department of Natural Resources and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
