Wilkeson Water Treatment and Reservoir Repairs
Amount Requested: $700,000
The Wilkeson Water Treatment and Reservoir Repairs Project would support two critical components of the Town's Water System Plan update. One critical project is a water treatment plant to remove iron and manganese from the Town's backup water source. The other critical project is recoating and repairs of the interior and exterior of the Town's welded steel water storage reservoir. The water treatment plant is intended to meet State and Federal guidelines for water quality and to deliver high quality water to the citizens of the Town and surrounding areas that receive Wilkeson water. The reservoir upgrades are needed to preserve the Town's water infrastructure asset, to extend the design life and function of the reservoir for emergency and fire flow storage for the citizens of the Town.
