Chelan County Sheriff’s Office De-escalation Tools

The Less Lethal Solutions for Law Enforcement De-escalation Program aims to enhance deputy safety and minimize the use of deadly force encounters. The program would include the adoption and integration of various less-lethal tools into the agency's toolkit, including remote restraint solutions and conducted energy devices. These tools have been selected for their effectiveness in immobilizing or incapacitating individuals from a distance, reducing the need for physical confrontation and minimizing the risk of serious injuries or fatalities.
